THE BEER FROM ÆRØ
Ærø Bryggeri – Aeroe Brewery A/S – is a craft brewery whose mission is to help enrich beer culture in Denmark.
Ærø Brewery is beautifully situated in the village of Store Rise, in the center of Ærø in the South Funen Archipelago. Ærø Brewery was originally established in 1926 in the now historic buildings that were constructed as a dairy back in 1880. After the switch from milk to hops, beer brewing continued all the way until 1962, when Ærø Brewery bottled its last beer. It wasn’t until 2004 that the brewery reopened as a corporation, putting Ærø back on the map of Denmark with its delicious beer.
But quality is also reflected in the way Ærø Bryggeri engages with the local community of Ærø as a business. We believe that a business has a significant responsibility to the local community, and that is why we are committed to contributing to the community of which we are a part. If Ærø thrives, so does Ærø Bryggeri.
SIMPLE INGREDIENTS – RICH FLAVOR
We take it for granted that we should help create jobs and contribute to promoting Ærø, both as a tourist destination and as a place to live. After all, without Ærø, there would be no Ærø Brewery.
We believe that high quality and great taste should be accessible to everyone. This means that Ærø beer is now widely available throughout the country—and at a price most people can afford.
Here on Ærø, time passes a little more slowly. This gives us time to listen, to reflect—to savor. Many of us may have lost this sense of lingering in the hustle and bustle of daily life, but on Ærø, it still exists. The timeless focus on the here and now. On the good times, the meaningful activities, or spending time with good friends.

LAG LLSÆ and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe, which invests in rural areas, have supported Ærø Bryggeri for the project "Cooling system for beer production". The purpose of replacing the cooling system is to achieve reliable and sustainable cooling of beer.
