Store Rise Beer Safari and Lunch

To celebrate Geopark Days 2026, we at Ærø Brewery are hosting a beer safari followed by lunch.

Join us for an outdoor beer tasting, where—with the fresh country air filling your lungs—you’ll be guided through the village and hear stories from Store Rise’s harvest festivals, all while sampling six different beers from Ærø Brewery.

Store Rise is one of the island’s largest villages and has historically been dominated by agriculture, but it has also been home to an inn, several grocery stores, a bakery, and, of course, the Rise Brewery, which brewed wheat beer for the island’s workers.

You’ll enjoy a tour through the village, complete with fascinating stories about everything that has shaped the town over the past century and that, in one way or another, relates to the brewery—both past and present.

We'll wrap up at Bryggeriet with a lunch of open-faced sandwiches and a cold beer or water from the bar.
